Do You Really Want to Live??

Do You Really Want to Live??  Are You Willing to do What it Takes??

I was talking to a friend of mine over the Christmas Holidays who recently had 4 tumors removed.  He is now on a quest to make sure those tumors never grow back, or show up some where else.
On this journey he met a raw food expert named Lou Corona.  Lou healed his own brain tumor years ago by using nutrition.  He now consults with people terminally diagnosed with cancer who have exhausted all traditional types of care.  You see, someone who is dying (or their loved ones) will fly him in to consult and see if he can help.  Before he even offers advice, the first two questions he asks are:

Do You Really Want to Live?
Are You Willing to do What it Takes?

It may sound simple, but Lou says that many people are not willing to do what it takes.  I asked myself those same two questions as it pertains to all aspects of life.

Spiritual – am I willing to do what it takes to grow and deepen in this area?
Family – am I willing to fully engage with my wife and children so we all truly feel loved?
Health – am I willing to get adjusted and exercise and eat and think right?
Finance – am I willing to not over indulge, save, give and live within my means?
Emotional – am I willing to choose gratitude, look for the best in everything and bless others?

Lou Corona asks those questions before he starts because he knows that many people aren’t willing to do what it takes to live.  Lee Lipsenthal, author of Enjoy Every Sandwich and Director of the Center for Reversing Heart Disease, says that when faced with death most people will only do what is necessary for 6 weeks, then they back slide into old habits.
Today I ask you, do you really want to live? Are you willing to do what it takes?  It’s not about perfection but it is about a journey of improvement.  Are you willing to pass on that evening snack? Are you willing to love your wife a little more?  Are you willing to be more patient with your kids?  Are you willing to stay on track with your adjustments? Are you willing to spend time praying and meditating?
I want to live, and I am willing to do what it takes.  I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

Be Amazingly Blessed,
Dr. Matt
