The Miracle of Creation
Let
me start this week’s article by saying thank-you. Thank you for allowing me the time off last
week to enjoy transitioning this beautiful new baby boy (Rhys – pronounced
Reese) into our family. We kept our other
three children (Payton, Matteo and Kaelan) home all week because it was such a
joy to be together as a family.
The
Birth….
On
Monday afternoon last week my wife Amy called me and let me know that she was
experiencing some significant cramping.
She didn’t think things would happen too soon and that teaching the Good
Fats/Bad Fats workshop would not be a problem.
I came home from the workshop to find her resting on the couch and
believing that the baby would come in the next couple of days. By 10:30pm we were in bed and I was applying
low back counter pressure for her during her contractions. Within an hour of that she was in the bath
tub actively laboring and doing really great.
This is when her water broke and I called the mid-wife to let her know
we were well on our way to having this baby.
Amy continued to labor and we could begin to see the baby’s head. At 1:43am, a mere 5minutes after the mid-wife
arrived, baby Rhys was born at home.
8lbs4oz and 21 inches.
It
amazes me that only 40wks prior to this delivery Rhys was conceived. Amy and I did nothing other than provide a
good environment for creation to take place.
Rhys has a power inside of him that began at the moment of conception
and will stay with him until he takes his last breath. That power allowed him to create his own
brain and spinal cord, heart, lungs, digestive system, skeleton, and
reproductive system. It allowed him to go from one cell at conception to a
trillion cells at birth, a true miracle that science has never been able to
fully explain. The entire time that Rhys
was in the womb, the main guideline is DON’T interfere with this process. Don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t take drugs,
eat well, get some exercise, and don’t stress out. This is what allows babies to create well and
the same rules apply after birth. Your
body knows what to do. Treat it well and don’t interfere.
That’s
what chiropractic is all about. Spinal
adjustments are about treating yourself well and removing interference. The interference is called a subluxation
(misaligned vertebrae putting pressure on your spinal cord and nerves) and it
always gets in the way of you recreating yourself on a daily basis.
Moments
after his birth, Rhys had his spine and nerve system checked. After all, it is the most important system
in his body. It even controls his breathing and his
heart. Chiropractic is the only thing my
children have ever had. It’s also the
only I have ever had for the last 15 years of my life. IT WORKS. The
healthiest people I know all have chiropractic as part of their life.
Life
is truly amazing, and creation is truly miraculous. I look forward to a lifetime of walking with
you and seeing you live an amazing life.
Be Blessed,
Dr. Matt
