Sick Season OR Sugar Season?

SickSeason
OR
SugarSeason

Research has proven time and time again that un-natural sugar suppresses the immune system and feeds cancer in the body. The next 12 weeks of the year are generally when I find our society is the sickest and most run down.
People love to blame it on the germs associated with kids being back to school, germs from daycare or even the “flu season”.  All of these are in no shape or form the reason that people are sick.  In fact germs don’t make people sick, weak immune systems allow people to get sick.

This is why 3 people in a home will get sick and the others don’t.  If you are sharing a kitchen, a bathroom and the same recycled air as the rest of your family, then you are exposed to the same germs.  The reason why some get sick and others don’t is due to the strength of the immune system.

This time of year people are sick because last week most people pigged out, ate too many sugary desserts and didn’t get enough sleep (it’s called Thanksgiving).  The string of sickness will persist because most people follow that up 3 weeks later with ingesting as much candy as possible (it’s called Halloween).  It continues after that because the stress of the commercialized Christmas Season.  Follow that up with Christmas gluttony, too many sugary desserts, New Years Eve and it is clear to see why the 12 weeks from mid October to mid January are the times when people get the sickest.

Heap on that a lack of Vitamin D from reduced day light hours and hermit dwelling because people hibernate from the cold and it all makes great sense.
**Tips to Stay Healthy:  Cut out sugar.  Get to bed.  Oxygenate your body with exercise.  Breathe fresh air.   Scale back the commercial side of Christmas.  Supplement Vitamin D (35 I.U. per pound of body weight).  Go for a tan. Love people and enjoy your life.

Be Blessed, and you ARE,
Dr. Matt
