Some Things Are Just
Healthy…Period!!
Occasionally, people will suggest to me that they don’t feel any better after doing something healthy. My own Dad, for example, says that he doesn’t feel any better after working out. He’s been saying this for several years now. Periodically, a patient will tell me that after years of chiropractic care they don’t feel any different.

Although
this is uncommon, it’s important to realize that some things are just good for you, REGARDLESS of how you feel.
Example 1 – It is clearly a good idea to brush
your teeth at least twice a day. After
doing so, I would be hard pressed to tell you that I feel better. What I know is that if I do something good for my teeth often and regularly my teeth will be better off and last longer.
Example 2 – Most days I don’t feel like waking
up early to read my bible and spend time
with God. Often times I read the
bible and spend time with God, but don’t
FEEL any different. In fact there
are times I do this and I actually feel
worse. The revelations I receive may
convict me on the inside and cause me transitional growth turmoil. It doesn’t always feel good, but I know it is
good for me and that it’s the right
thing to do.
Example 3 – I feel more often like eating a 12
slice pepperoni pizza than I feel like eating broccoli. After eating broccoli I can’t report feelings
of elation and joy but the truth is even though I don’t feel better or even different, it’s just the right thing to do.
Example 4 – Most days I don’t feel like going for a walk after dinner with my wife. She loves to walk together, I don’t. I do it, and I don’t feel much different
afterwards but I know it was the right
thing to do.
Chiropractic adjustments are just the right thing to do for your spine and nervous system - even if you
don’t feel much different. Your spine
needs to have proper motion and your brain
controls your whole body via your back.
It needs to be nurtured even if
you don’t feel it.
Some things (chiropractic) are just good for you.
Shalom,
Dr. Matt
