When Belief and Action
Come Together
In the second chapter of James, the bible tells us that “faith without works is dead”. That means that we need to take action and
step into the things that we are believing for.
I was watching the ESPY’s (sports awards show) on television and a
young man who was paralyzed while playing football was given an award of
courage. In 2010 a relatively innocent
football play left him having no control over the lower two thirds of his
body. When presenting him with the award
they showed a video highlight reel of his journey since the injury. Everyday he works with a team of people in an
effort to re-train his body to walk again.
In his acceptance speech, he said “even
though the doctors say it’s not possible, I believe I am going to walk again”.
As I sat and was inspired by his belief and determination, I had no
doubt that one day we will see him walk again.
I have never seen his MRI results, never met him in person, never
understood his injury like his team of doctors, but I do know the word of God,
from who all healing and good things come.
I also know that the majority of signs, wonders and miracles that I see
always have a coupling of belief and action.
Believing he will walk again and waking up everyday willing to work on
seeing this come to pass. That’s the recipe for miracles.
Do you have something in your life that you have been hoping for? Are you waiting for something to heal, for a
relationship to mend, to meet that perfect person, for your career to change,
for your business to turn around, for your cholesterol scores to lower, to
complete a race…
Make Sure Your Actions and
Belief Line Up
Be Amazingly Blessed,
Dr. Matt
Amen! I needed this today! Thank you....I have to remember to walk by faith and not by sight.
